Update Balance Changes

Supercell today released a blog on the changes coming in the next update (probably Tuesday or Wednesday next week) and I expect sneak peeks to start tomorrow (18 March). This is an addition to all the war changes that have already been announced. However there are so many changes that in this article I’ll try to pull together the themes and what it means for your armies.

Mass witch nerf

We tend to use an awful lot of witches in this clan with devastating effect. We’re not the only ones so Supercell have nerfed this attack by introducing three changes:

  • Skeletons do not trigger traps, that’s painful !
  • Archer towers can one shot kill skeletons.
  • Wizards towers have much higher hit points, particularly at higher levels

Just think about these things in combination, witches vulnerable to bombs, skeletons more vulnerable and wizard towers harder to take down. We’ll see how effective this is but mass witch is definitely going to be a much less effective attack.

Valkyrie buff

No matter what changes Supercell make to Valkyries they are still the  most underused troop in the game so they are having another attempt at making them more effective; higher damage per second and faster attack spin up time is very positive, but lower hit points I’m not so sure. But I expect we’ll see more Valkyries in play, at least in the short term.

Other changes

There are so many I’m not going to list them all; but some are buffs to x-bows and infernos, a nerf to the Grand Warden, battle time reduced to three minutes, and many others.
